The old Multimedia variant (CSE2220 Signal Processing + CSE2225 Image Processing + CSE2230 Multimedia Analysis — three 5 EC courses, all abolished with the variant system) is guessed to compress into this one 5 EC elective. That's a 3:1 compression: most of this material will not survive into the actual course. Nothing here should be treated as confirmed-examinable.

"Information processing" in the new title matches none of the three source courses — it may signal genuinely new content (information theory, entropy, coding) that isn't in this archive at all.
